I've owned guns since I was 18... and I've never felt the urge to pump bullets into anyone... neither would I be flippant about it! If anything gun ownership has quite the opposite effect on most people, I guess the simple knowledge that what is done cannot be undone makes one stop and think a bit more than if one were simply giving someone a knuckle sandwich!
BTW, due to a complete ban on imports - the last PPK I heard of went for over 15 lacs... a bit pricey for a gun that costs just a few hundred dollars overseas; wouldn't you say? Anyhow, asides from the James Bond factor the PPK is hardly an ideal choice, it's picky in terms of ammunition and has been known to be prone to jams. There are better more modern designs out there... not that any law abiding Indian is likely to get his hands on one - the crooks on the other hand can have what they want with impunity
