i have recently put a universal filter on my 97 astra. the car has become awesome at low revs. if you have fuel efficiency in mind then go for the stock replacement filter. but since you would be going for more mods after this i guess you should put the universal filter. or you could go for the typhoon or fipk kits. however i dont know much about them.
