Its a 1938 Packard Eight, originally with a 282 cu in inline eight. The original owner upgraded the engine to a 327 cu in Super 8 Packard engine which is the one you see in pictures

Interestingly many Packard owners had this peculiar habit of upgrading mechanicals while retaining the old body styles they preferred. At times even Packard dealers obliged with upgrades. However in this case this was done purely by the owner.
