Did anyone else feel the same issue in your Vernas?

I've a Verna SX ABS bought in May 07. Having done 9000 km in 9 months, I agree with carlover98 about its engine response around 2000 RPM. But I've a Laura too, and I don't as much feel such a thing with it- so why call it "Laura Effect", anyway? Despite its hefty price difference, I feel the Verna more comfortable to drive than the Laura. May be , but still.

My gripe about the Verna is about its tires. The SX has 186/65R14's, which are inadequate. My tire dealer has suggested to go for Michelin 205/60R14s. I am waiting for the 10,000km mark to come up to change my tires.
