You say your German town is boring, but as I've been reading Sam's travelogue, I have been experiencing some envy that England is not just a little bit more like Germany. Had the same experience visiting Netherlands years ago too.
Why? Because you have planning, and buildings that fit in with your past: we have a mess.
Yes, we have picturesque towns in England too, but only the super-rich can afford to live in the best ones!
My experience of visiting Germany has been limited to a a few short business trips (never more than two days, sometimes just for the day) to Dusseldorf, but I always enjoyed them. |
