Nah its indeed a new model, I saw the black plastic shroud above the inside rear view mirror which housed some sensor. The general quality of plastics was also better, especially the glovebox. I was invited by a research agency hired by mahindra to get the feedback on the newer improved version and the invitation was for the people who have test drievn the 'older' vlx. Although the differences are very minute and not noticeable unless you have a keen eye... the differences are there indeed.
