A previous thread was closed which was comparing Swift variants VDI, VXI and ZXI. I would like to have valuable input from our members again since I've already given an advance of 50K to the dealer for VXI but I've the flexibility to shift over to ZXI.

I live in US and my parents in HYD. We had a Indigo LXI TDI bought in Nov 2005 My dad was very particular about FE factor but since it was our first car I didnt know how many KMS we will put on an average. We got rid of our Indigo last month for 4.1L (Bought it at 6.3 on road excluding car stereo). We clocked 13k Kms before we sold it bcos of maintenance problems.

--My dad wants a VDI bcos of FE factor
--I want a pertol version bcos of the fear factor of maintenance and of- course drivability in busy roads of HYD.
--My parents will come to US for atleast 4 months this summer and maybe every 2 yrs.
--Safety is one of the most important factors
--VDI is being sold for 35K extra in black (like movie tickets) in Hyderabad.
-- Consider 13K mileage over the period of 27 months
--I like ZXI for its safety features and add on values

I'll appreciate your input and it'll make a definite impact on my purchase.
