I have decided to start working on my website again. for quite some time I used drupal, and frankly speaking, upgrading is a pain, and I am not too happy.
So I am looking at something sleeker, something easier and more robust and flexible.
The candidates are wordpress and mediawiki. I want something for which a lot of community support is available.
The website will have a couple of books(I intend to convert my travelogues to an e-book), quite a few articles and reviews about travel restaurants etc., and a blog too.

As for functionality drupal is the king, but I would like to hear from you about suggestions
Requirements are simple :
1. Open source, no compromise on this front
2. Should run on linux based systems running apache
3. Should run on either pSQL or mySQL
4. Should not be a disk space hogger
5. Fast page loading
6. Good image uploading interface.
7. Good looking with nice sleep themes, for example our very own BHP black.
