There are 2 types of difractions that occur.
1. baffle step (diffracion loss)
Baffle Diffraction Step
2. baffle edge (diffraction ripple)
Diffraction from baffle edges
on an IB like a car door neither happens. there is no baffle step or edge.
I am confused as to which difraction you are refering to.

Lastly is your rear speaker mounted on the rear deck or in a special box that is ontop of the box that houses the subwoofers? If so how much room is left in the skoda's trunk. My requirements need me to be able to have 2 30" check in bags and one carry on bag (along with my SLR camera bag, my wife's and son's carry on haversacks, duty free shopping, etc..) in the trunk. I intend to steal all the ideas I can from your install.
