This is a relatively stale news but having not seen it posted yet, thought of doing so.
On 13th April, Azharuddin (Ex cricketer) and his sons met with a life threatening accident
at the Palm Beach - Uran Road intersection (regulars would know how dangerous this point is ). A S.T bus banged his CRV at 90 degrees at high speed. The CRV rolled over while the ST bus after collision went on to flatten the traffic light on the Belapur Side.
The airbags saved the occupants in car. Azhar and driver relatively unharmed but sons had minor lacerations. DNA reported that ST driver was caught and was grovelling at Azhar's feet asking for forgiveness while Mumbai Mirror reports the driver to be absconding !!

Seems the CRV proved its sturdiness !!

I happened to pass through the junction in the evening and was surprised at that time to see the lights off in the peak hour with no policeman on view and then saw the flattened pole. The traffic lights had been recently replaced after the construction activity there.
