Ford India had a loyalty program named "Car Gainz". They give a blue oval card and points will be added to it whenever you spend for spares, service at their dealerships. This program has been closed from Nov'2007.

Why am writing this information here is to share with you all my experience. I never knew that this program is closed. There was no communication from Ford on this. Recently I had to purchase extended warranty for my fiesta at Rs.5800. It occurred to me that I could make use of any points from this program. When I enquired MPL Ford they told me that the program was closed in Nov2007 and anyway they wont give any reduction in the warranty price. They said I can only use it up during service for buying spares.

After some follow ups I found that I had 1600 points in Car Gainz for which I can get benefit for Rs.1600. They asked me to get some accessory like car cover, seat etc. I did not want anything like that. So I insisted for a reduction in the warranty price and they finally accepted to give that. Because I had given a cheque for the full amount already they have agreed to give me a cheque back for Rs.1600.

If I had not realized and insisted I would not have got the benefit. If any of you are not sure about the points you had and have not got any communication from Ford please check with your dealership and get the benefit you deserve.
