Hello Friends,

Needed some help from you - basically, I've managed to misplace the main key of my Civic and am currently using the spare one. I'm worried that the main key might have landed in improper hands and could potentially risk losing my baby. So, in this regard, a few queries to this group:

1. Can Honda just "immobilize" the original key and issue me a new one?
2. If yes, would you know approximately how much would I end up paying for that? And is it coverable under insurance?
3. If the above is not possible, would I need to get all the locks changed and get new keys issued? Again, any idea of the costs involved here?

I do plan to call up the Honda dealership and see what they have to say, but wanted to hear if any of you have had a first hand experience in this. Hoping for a quick response from this group!
