And, the dealer is proposing to give me a 3rd year extended warranty right now. And change that to 3&4th year as soon as he gets the price for the 3&4th year extended warranty. Is such a thing possible, my friend once told me that it's an either or clause and u can't buy 3rd and then change it to 3+4th year warranty. Who is correct, how does it work ?
Congrats and welcome to the petrol DZiRE club!

Yes, please inspect and take the vehicle for a short drive before registration if it is legally permitted (dont ask me what happens if there is an accident during this drive - I dont know who will be responsible for what - all the same, many of us take that drive.). Please check again after registration and before taking delivery.

The registration and the delivery will be on the same day. Insurance work has to be completed before the registration. I got the registration number only a day after the delivery. Dealer said it is legal to run around with the "REGISTERED'" sticker - not sure about the legality of that. My previous car had the number plates fixed on the day of registration/ delivery.

I got a 3rd year warranty built into the on-road cost. The dealer said I could add on the 4th year warranty before the expiry of the 2nd year warranty; the cost of the 4th year warranty escalates after 60 days of the delivery.
