Mitsu are not known to have great pricing. They are locally assembling the old old Pajero and still haven't been able to meet a competitive price for that.

Now with the new dies and the newer technology I don't see them meeting that price point. Moreover this version has the latest 2.4MIVEC engine which I doubt will be local.

Also, the ACI article in the first post is very very old and we have been hearing this news for a long time. It looks like it may hit shores end of this year or early next year.
