Most of these acronyms are just popularized/trademarked by specific manufacturers to denote
their version of traction control. (TC, TCS, ESP, ESC, A-TRAC etc)
The same way as different manufacturers have different acronyms for variable valve timing etc (VTEC/MIVEC/VVT etc)
Although the systems wont be exactly the same, they will do basically the same thing to keep the car in control.
I think "ESC/ESP" is popular with Mercedes.
