Check out the video for sonata agcs vs accord. this is somewhat like TCS. Traction Control System. take a steep turn, your suspension tends to bend and other 2 wheels gets less traction but with TCS it controls traction for all the tyres. It is done by controlling the suspension.
Role of TCS in wheel spin. You are true in this part. But here suspension work is also there. I tried wheel spin with TCS on standing idle. It happened without any power loss. may be minor but yes while taking steep cuts at high speeds TCS helped me a lot.

TCS also do the same but it is not synchronized as ESP. It is just to make good grip of the tyres. Depends on the driving condition.

Where as ESP reduce the engine speed and auto apply brakes slightly to speed down. Whereas TCS don't do it everytime.

Both of them co-relates with the ABS and compliment each other
