Very interesting thread Mr Dhabhar,

I remember that my dad was doing some work for the PAL plant and he wanted to take me there to see everything - but i was too young at the time since the minimum age for visitors was 12 years of age IIRC. I never did get to see the plant.

I think the only legal way to own this car at the time was to have red circles saying "TOURIST TAXI" - on each of the front doors. (embarrasing!)
We had to be very careful not to take the car out if it was a Bombay bandh that day.

The car was stolen from outside our house a few months after we got it. I cant say i was very dissapointed at the time.
