I got my Maruti Swift DZiRE delivered in Chennai on the day of registration sans the number plates.

In 2004 I got a Hyundai Santro in Chennai and in 2003 I got a Maruti Versa in Vellore both delivered on the same day (around 7.30PM) as the registration with the number plates.
