This past weekend, four Indian software professionals from Syntel, and the spouses of two of them were killed on the Interstate-90 in western Pennsylvania. All in their mid-twenties.
They were going on a tourist trip to Niagara Falls.
At approx 4 pm on Saturday, 3 miles before the Pennsylvania-Ohio border, their blue minivan crossed the median, flipped, rolled and came to rest on its roof on the wrong side of the road.
Then it was hit by an oncoming car traveling westbound. The lady driving that car escaped with a few injuries.

The sole survivor, also from Syntel, in the front passenger seat was treated in hospital and released.
The chap driving the van,
Kaushik Deb, 26 died on impact.
Others killed were Manoj Jharia, 35; his wife Mili Jharia, 28; Nitin Agarwal, 29; his wife Swati Singhal, 25 all from Jabalpur, MP; and Subham Choudary, 24 from Indore, MP. The sole survivor in the minivan, Nitin Gupta, 28 from Meerut was sitting in the front passenger seat. He was treated and released from hospital the same day.
Another van carrying six more Syntel employees, was accompanying them, a few minutes ahead of them.
Pennsylvania state police found no clearly apparent cause of the crash. It happened a quarter mile after both vans started off from a rest halt.
