The battries cost 55K+. I changed them about 2 years back.
The current status of the batteries is another topic altogether (now where is that sad smiley)

And I will like to add here that you can COMPLETELY forget about any savings. I have owned a Reva for 6 years now. The first 3-4 years when the car is under warranty is great. After that, no way when if comes to battery or the motor.
Other maintenance is very reasonable like service or cost of lamps, etc. Can't say anything about body panels.

If you talk about convenience, I totally agree. Manouvering in traffing, parking in tiny slots whether inline or perpendicular, smiles on faces of childer are some of the plus points or rather the only plus points.

This is my opinion (now).

However a friend of mine just bought a Reva on our feedback and is pretty happy with her car. I guess savings was not a concern for her. It was convenience.
