a friend and I have seen a Ford Fiesta 1.4 EXi 2006 model in bangalore. the dealer says the vehicle has done only 1300 kms in 2 years since the owner is abroad most of the time.
the vehicle drives and looks good. i am yet to get it checked by a mechanic. the dealer is quoting 4.5 lakhs. he is willing to show us the service manual which does not have a single free service entry in it. do you think the price is good and the vehicle is worth going in for? what could be the catch? the body looks free from dents.
i noticed that the battery was not an exide or an amaron. what is the oem in a fiesta? it might have been changed due to the scant usage. should i get the vehicle checked at a ford dealer itself or a private mechanic? also, what fuel efficiency can be expected from the car?
This is for a close pal of mine but i am apprehensive because i do not trust dealers much!
