I just registered myself with both airtel and vodafone.
As Srijit mentioned: Steve Jobs in his keynote at the WWDC mentioned that the iPhone will be launched at a maximum price of $199 all around the world. (With a 2 year contract of course).

If that's the case, i hope, it will be the same over here.
