sankey12, Tata has this "reconditioned engines program" which are cheaper and more reliable since they come with limited warranty too.
However I would not suggest a "engine transplant" vehicle for expeditions.
If you have CNG/LPG access you can go for such a mod, and have partial fuel savings.
