I think the 17" tyres from the R15 wont fit with your 16" Alloys/Rims.... you'll have to but a new set of rims/alloys...
Easy... buy some new treads from the MRF nylo zapper.. its around 1.5k in Bangalore... you can easily put up to 120 width to your bike with out any mod to the swing arm...
but if your rural roads are with out tarmac... go to the TVS Jumbo...
