rajesh_sg, since the car has been registered, you would have been allotted the registration number the same night or the next day. Once you have the registration number, get the plates from the dealer. I'm assuming you have the plates already.

What you need to carry with you: (all documents mandatory and in original)
0. Your driving license
1. Lifetax paid token / Registration receipt - this wil have the owner's name & engine / chassis number
2. Insurance policy
3. Vehicle delivery invoice
4. A No Objection Letter (not to be confused with NOC) from your cousin stating he / she has given you permission to drive the car. Mention your driving license number in the letter.

If your cousin is travelling with you, you don't need the NOL.

Once you get the RC, please get the number endorsed in the insurance policy.
