| Senior - BHPian | Has anyone gone through with the seat modification process? i.e, adding foam etc to create greater lumbar, side and thigh support? If so, a small writeup on the process (pics would be great) would be very helpful for others to go the same route. Specifically: While adding side, neck and thigh support padding, does a supporting frame need to be fabricated to hold the foam in place? Seems to me that no matter how hard the foam is, prolonged usage would cause it to lose shape and firmness. Comments? Also: Has anyone tried retrofitting better seats in a Lancer? Which cars have the best OE seats, in terms of support & comfort?

| BHPian | Done my seats up with added thigh & lumbar support in the zen. Measurements had to be taken before the process started. I am really happy about the results. Can confidently say that my zen has a more comfortable seat then my swift. I had to get the seat covers redone as well. Art leather stiched on. Check my gallery for pics. |

I just got BMW 3 series seats fitted in my Gypsy. No issues at all. Had to just get the mounting frame altered. That any service station would be able to do.

| Owing to the fact that I have mostly driven my Zen as the sole occupant over 8 years, the driver seat has "sunk" and that gives quite a sore back on long drives. I was wondering if it would be possible to swap the driver's seat with the left front seat (as that feels as firm as new) instead of changing/recushioning. Knowing how keen MASS are, they mumbled something to the effect that it was not technically possible as the rails were at different levels. Could the experts kindly shed some light on this option? Thanks. |
