No Skidrock, stock replacement filters are not available in RActive. They only make universal conical filters.

Yes PJ Speed sells it. But Iam not sure whether the Company has anyoffice in Hydreabad. I guess Viper deals it with in Mumbai.

Did anybody actually fit a Ractive filter onto a Zen MPFi ? How much of work would that be?

No, I do not mean that. They are way better than the OE filter. But in my little experience with filters, Greencotton and K&N seem to fare better than Ractive. Given the pricing in India, Ractive would win. But internationally, all three being priced similarly, I would place Ractive last.

What are your views on the matter?

This gives a better picture. I was taken back on your earier post, as I could feel the difference after installing the Ractive conical filter. Thanks

I'm sorry, evidently I didn't phrase it right. I meant it seemed slower than the same head with a K&N. I feel that a K&N would have been a better bet. The Ractive seemed too loud for my liking. K&Ns seem to have a growl, while this had a wheeze/cough/sniff/dunno.

What is your take?

My Take? I've not used Ractive or Green. I use a Uni on my ZZR, and a Pipercross on the Octavia. Both OE replacements. In our conditions, I prefer foam to paper, and would not mind the slightly more restrictive nature of the foam filters. Not noticed any change in performance in the car. On the bike, the induction sound is a bit louder, but I can't claim any power increase.

I've had a K&N on my ex-Katana, but then that came with the bike so I had no reference.

However, I plan on trying out a K&N replacement on my Octi to see if there is any difference. Will post my findings once I've tried it.

Is the bike upjetted accordingly? Or do I sound stupid because it's actually injected?!

So you're saying the filters basically weren't worth it.

It's an OE replacement filter. No need to upjet. But yet, I did play around with the jetting, finally going back to stock as it was running too rich.

Well, for someone looking for performance from a replacement filter, nope. Better off going for a proper set up. If you want a bit better breathing with the stock airbox and piping, then yes. Also, its reusable.

That said, a lot of people claim major improvements with replacement filters. I've just never felt them myself.
