Default Valet mode in Nippon mobile security

I was leafing through the owner's manual forthe Maruti nippon mobile security system (NCS-099) and came across something called the Valet mode. This feature disables all security features and the functions only as keyless entry. It is recommended for situations where your car is being parked by valets. To activate it, the manual asks the user to press the valet button on the remote. But there are only three buttons on my remote, the lock and unlock buttons and the panic button.

Is the panic button the same as the valet button and has anyone tried to activate this mode? If so, has it worked?

Cheers!

The vallet mode is a combination of keys, differs from model to model. I think it is the unlock and panic pressed together. the manual should have more details on the same.

The valet button is the "Alarm" button on the dash. I had the same problem figuring this out in my SX4. Here's how to disable valet mode -

1. Close the door
2. Turn ignition on and then off
3. Keep "Alarm" (valet) button on dash pressed for 3 seconds
4. Siren will chirp once to notify the mode change

Repeat to go back into valet mode...

I think valet mode is best when handing over the vehicle to those not knowing how to handle the security system

Valet Mode is useful when you are parking your car inside your garage. Else the whole purpose of installing a security system is defeated.

The valet mode can be put up when the car has to be serviced .

@shrawage: The valet switch is situated on the dash , probably near the fog lamps switch.
