Default wooden bead back rest

Hi,

Tried to search for any info on the wooden bead back rest but unable to find it.

I am considering these as the PU Seat covers feel a bit warm now a days and am wondering if leather would have been better. Meanwhile, looking for something to make my back feel better.

Anyone has experience with these or any other suggestions ?

Thanks

It helps in cutting down your backside heat but if not fitted properly, it may effect your driving posture. It relives a lot of tension and stress accumulation in long journeys too.
But be prepared to see your seats getting some punch marks here and there.

I used one for a year or so, it definitely helped. The plastic wires used were not of good quality, so it fell apart. Please look for one with reliable plastic/ thread used to put the beads together. I think I spent about Rs 500 or so (1 to 1.5 yrs ago may be).

I also used one in my previous car. Was helpful on long drive. One day, beads fell apart due to torn plastic wires holding them while i tried to clean them. Lasted for over an year.
A simialar one to this,

I also have seen few cars with seat cushions made of stone? or white material beads instead of wood. Are ther better? They cost more than wood beaded ones.

Default wooden and marble

Yes there are 2 types. One is wooden and another one is marble stones.
Wooden is 250 and marble one is 450 or 500Rs in Bangalore when I enquired a month ago.

hmm, I enquired from some local accessory shops but they have the small Square ones with a border of foam all around it, I have seen these get curved very soon and look real bad, am looking for one which should cover the complete back of the driver/co-passenger front seats.

Any Delhi/Noida guys suggest some accessory market, else will try Karol Bagh this weekend.

This one is available at most of the accessory shops, but I have seen it getting folded around the corner and looks really bad.

Also, which one should I get the usual beads or bamboo one ?

No, the ones in the link you posted are not good. Please use the usual beads as per the picture posted by shyamhegde. They definitely help to ease back strain and stress....gives a sort of acupressure treatment while you are driving. Do remember to fix them taut on your seat.

Default cushion filled with liquid/water

last week I saw a 'tube' kind of thing filled with water or some liquid that one can use on the car seat to sit...about five small liquid filled tubes (1inch x 10inch long)joined together to form a square...i believe it is better than the wodden or marble beeds as far as comfort is concerned...available in bangalore for about 500bucks each..

One of my office mates had a bad experience with the marble/stone beads fixed on to the front passenger seat in his friends car. They tend to get heated up very quickly especially when the car is parked in direct sunlight and he ended up almost getting his backside scorched. But the owner never faced that problem!
