Default Momo Steering - Palio Stile 1.6 Sport

Hi Guys
I bought a new Formula Red 1.6 sport on Monday,
I'm thinking of going for a momo steering wheel for my new baby.
  • Has anyone done this for 1.6 sport? any issues so far? hows the handling like?
  • where do you get authentic momos in Bangalore?
  • or is it better to get it from abroad?
cheers

Before buying a steering wheel for your car, make sure you have some steering hub that fits on the Palio.

As kiran said first you have to find the steering hub which fits palio.
sometimes back i was up to it but bro finding the hub is damn hard near to impossible.
BTw you want it for your new palio, dude it's a new car give her sometimes more.I suggest you go for some nice leather steering cover like the one in 1.6 sport it feels better than momo, believe me you wont regret.

Absolutely. MF already has a Fiat Momo wheel, but not compatible with the palio.

Hehehe . When are you finding / making a hub for me to use the steering please? You can use my Palio rim (without the horny ring) on your car .

The leather wrapped Steering has been stopped out bcos of some design complications (according to the fiat guy I spoke to).

So what I'm having is quite plasticky, thats why I'm all out for an upgrade & one of my friend suggested momo.... :(

Design Complications?

May be its a move to offset cost from some other costly spares... May be head lamp assembly

Procure a steering hub first and then and only then buy your momo steering..Its real hard to find a steering hub for Palio. I have a Type-R steering wheel for the last 2 years which I couldnt fit on my Palio. I couldnt find the steering hub...

Would be great if you could pass the info on, if you happen to source one.

One of my friend has suggested to look for the hub in UK's mod shops, I've asked a couple of guys there to check it out.
Will update if anything comes by.

it was actually due to the reason that the leather wrapped on the steering whel and the gear knob wasnt suitable for indian climates and sweaty palms makes the leather start peeling off .this is what one of the service advisor's told me.

I have seen quite a few 1.6s whose leather wrap comes off from the steering. Also it happens in other cars as well, since our climate doesnot suit the leather IMO.
