man, this is great news, so looks like one can give it to Mitsu dealers after all!

Just a question - are they still selling the Lancer?

Well yes the parts prices were reduced previously for lancer as they were local HM parts.

The lathangi guy refused to change my suspension lower arm as it was original MMC and not HM. He said it will last another 20K kms easily.

I'm surprised with this price drop. Either quality has gone down or they were just ridiculously priced earlier.

Step in the right direction. Its high time we saw some action from Mitsubishi on our shores and its a pity that a car like Cedia is biting dust in India.

All these price cuts have to be heavily advertised on television and newspapers so that everybody comes to know about the price cuts on spares same thing as chevrolet did by publishing ads about cheaper spares when they launched the Spark

Mitsubishi is/was never a volume player unlike chevy and the like. I doubt if they'd do it.

So does the reduced spare parts prices imply any price drop for the Lancer or Cedia?

Hey all, Autocar January 2008 edition has detailed comparison of all spares, repair and service replacement parts cost. This includes cost listing for all cars from M800 to Merc S-Class. Pretty much similar to the one they released for Jan 2007.

CEDIA's parts bin came down from about 1.75L to about 1.25L - an average of around 30% reduction.
