Navigator - Voxtel Carrera

Hi guys,

Recently got hold of Navigation System from Voxtel Carrera.



Mind blowing unit from the company.

Its a neat integrated design meant for multi performance.

It doubles up as a Able Navigator as well as an MP3 player also.



The maps are loaded which are more or less accurate.


The screen is a TFT screen comes in various sizes starting from 5" to 8" screens.

Screen clarity is damn good.


It covers major States in India.




You have choices as a drop down menu with pre loaded destinations.

Major part of city destinations are already pre-loaded. You just need to click and the navigator starts itself.




This unit comes in handy once you go on your long trips to other places.

It guides you through the routes, i've been using this system since 4 months and accuracy has never actually been a issue.




You want to reach any restaurants or a hospital or any religious places you have a choice of entering the point of interest menu.

Just type your destination and the Navigator takes you to a tour on the route you want to take.

So damn convenient.

There are some draw backs in the unit as we dont get to know the one-ways (Bangalore always changes the one-ways).

Is this from India’s 1st GPS Navigation system | GPS mobile navigation I PDA cum In-Car Navigation device | India City Maps | Personal Navigation Device (PND) | Navigation software | Satellite Navigation (I think for Rs 12k) ? Some one from the forum was looking for a review.

Looks like a regular Windows Mobile OS + Destinator software on a hardware with a slightly bigger screen.

how much did it cost you,is it available in india.who is the suplier and any waranty for the same.

This unit costs around 16000?- yes its available in India.

Its manufactured and supplied by Voxtel.(MNC Brand)

Comparing prices with other available devices in India, This one is more plush and priced competitively.

This is not a hand held device like the ones available.

This has got a seperate mount.

@ pavan kadam - does it have maps of cities in India preloaded? or did u procure them separately? I know that mapmyindia guys do not sell their software and maps separately. You need to buy the hardware and software from them. I understand that garmin is also coming out with an india specifc product. rgds
