The fuels additives are understandable - but how are you going to compare the others without a lot of time passing in between (or a lot of moolah in case you decide to change items such as engine oils!)

Looking forward to reading your updates and the methodology.

Its because I used to change my Engine oil in 3-4k interval. Last time I used STP Oil Treatment and now it has Bardhal. I am going to change oil next week after a Flush.

I've had only good experiences with the OWS engine flush. Highly recommended.

Where do you get MP6TY tablets?!
Please tell, you used the fuel additives with 'normal' petrol or it was premium .

TIA

Yes, never use Fuel additives with Premium Fuel. Also I DONT recommend any additives if your car is new. There is a thread in Team-Bhp for MP6TY, Please search for the contact details.

I second that. I used 2 bottles of the flush at 76,000kms along with the engine oil additive and it did wonders.

Compression before the flush was uneven in all 4 cylinders with one cylinder showing 100psi. After the 2 bottle flush all cylinders were perfectly match and the car was like butter smooth. Very perceptible difference.

I also added the fuel treatment and the mileage of the car went up by 2kmpl.

Eventhough Speedworks suggested me to buy 2 bottles of their Flush(210) for SAFARI, I bought one as I am going to open the Engine for Decarbonization. I will also open the oil tank after this Flush and I will show you the results, if possible.

When i took my SX4 Maruti dealer told me to do a full tank of speed/premium petrol after 4 full tank of normal petrol ie 4 tanks normal then 5th speed/premium petrol and 6 to 9 normal.
Does this makes sense

Additives are usually corrosive. Some additives like Automax are lubricative, but you may not need it in INDIA until we get very Low sulfur fuel. Speed/Premium petrol are ordinary petrol with additive mixed. You can use them if you can source it from a good pump.

But personally I dont recommend any Additives if your car is new. Even if your car is Old, I recommend to do a Manual De-carbonization instead of Additives, it will act as new.

As with my experience, No OCTANE Boosters or Power Boosters or Engine restorer will work.

You can try some carbon cleaners, Oil Additives or even gear box additives, but they work only if you cant afford a synthetic Engine/Gear oil.

It has been 500 kms since i changed my engine oil to OWS 5W50 (fully synthetic). I used OWS 210 engine flush before filling the engine oil. So far so good. But the oil is bit expensive though.
