Default Audio Setup for Sonata

Hello friends,

These days my uncle is thinking about upgrading his Sonata's audio system. I have decided to help him. He is also looking to add sub, I was wondering which is the best sounding car sub available in 10" & 12"

Looking to buy from the Official channel so please dont mention names and model which will have to be purchased from the grey market
Mixed blend of SQ & SPL needed
Also what about Components for the front and the back.. After getting knowledge of the speakers then will i ask questions about Amps and Head Units..
One thing at a time for me as I am new to this so not too aware of anything...
Cost is not an issue at the moment... But not something extremely expensive...

There you go, two 15inch Hertz subs with audison amplification on one of our done up Sonatas... Gunbir/Autophile can give you more details for an optimum setup within your budget. Personally i think the handrest cavity can be used as an excellent port, as in this case.

PS: Youve already heard the equipment in other cars so you dont need to be explained

Lets begin the party...

1. Alpine HU (im bad at alpine models ,navin shall add further) - 20-30k ..
2. Focal/Image Dynamics/hertz hi-energy components for the fronts and the rear - 30-50k..
3. Audison LRx amplifiers - 50-75k (based on how many amps u need) ..
4. Sub ?? what do u want a 12'' , 2 12'' , 1 15'' ???? Based on that we can suggest the brand names - 20k..
5. Cabling and install - 10k ..

Total : Thats still around 1.85L .. Thats one awesome setup .. The rest of the money u can sponsor me for the FISSME championships that im planning to take part in ..

PS : More importantly do u want a SQ setup or a SPL setup ???

That setup down below that autopsyche has posted was done for a 14yr olds car:(( Lucky kid.

Why not a DVD HU? and a screen at both the headrests?

Here we go again...

SQ is Sound Quality. SQ is used to refer to installs that were designed, and installed with high sound quality as the ultimate goal.

SPL is Sound Pressure Loudness. SPL is used to refer to installs that were designed, and installed with loudness (and not sound quality) as the ultimate goal.

There is another term; an illegitimate child (so termed by purists of either sect) of the above two; SQL which is used to describe installs that get very loud, with no compromise in sound quality.
