Default ICE upgrade for Skoda

Guys, i've decided to upgrade my current ICE system. What I have right now is...
1.A Pioneer 944 amp
2.A Pioneer 2000W 4ohm Dual Coil sub (I don't know the model number cuz nutin abt that is written on the sub except 2000W and Premier)

And now i'm thinkin abt gettin two 12" JBL GTO 1202D subs, which JK was plannin to get at first and were quoted at 4.2k. And after getting these I have to get a custom box made rite, so i need the details on that too.

Or do u audio gurus suggest any other setup?? All I need is good deep bass. I can shell out about 10k for the setup and I guess this would fit the budget.

karthik,

for 10K I'd just upgrade the front speakers first.

Hey hey, hang on! I wouldnt chuck out that babe for 2 of those JBLs. No way! Especially if all I cared was to go boom boom and unless I wanted a 12" JBL from the GTI series. I think a 944 should light up that baby damn well, and if you aint getting your ears plundered, you either havent set up the system right, are using incorrect cables or have a silly box (or all of the above!! eeks)

If you got all that right and still lust for more bass, then you need a bigger amp. I cant think of much that delivers 750rms at 2 ohms, most are either over or under it.

I agree with B&T. that is one good sub but you need 250W rms to make it play and 500W to really rock. It has a huge linear Xmax (22.5mm) and wont max out easily (45mm). Geez whe you said Pio sub I did not think at first I thought it was one of the 305/306 subs everyone seems to have.

This is a good sub. Use it with a big amp and you will enjoy. The amp must dump some serious current too so get an amp whose watts at 2 ohm is double of the 4 ohm rating.

So...ur sayin to stick to the current sub. But without the right amp, i won't get that performance, and to get the amps i'll have to shell of a lot of $$$.

This is getting confusing..
