26k Budget, Help me configure a Santro Xing :)

MY setup is extremely dissapointing.

JBL GTO426 - 2.5k
Pioneer 6100f - 7k

The above is my recommendation to the guy and he would have to spend about 750 for a rear MDF board and another 1k for install. Effectively stretched his budget from 26k - 31k :-(

If he is not upto this then I think I will ask him to re-think the rear 6x9". Last option would be to use a cheaper sub (aaargh)

What's to disagree? I assume you're referring to the entry level Fs series Boston. JBL is better.

Setup looks fine to me. Try the 12inch box if you can and do you the price of jbl cs65.4 amp?

The difference between the 1000/1200 is a little under 1.5k but I dont think we can manage it in this setup. JK, your box was from the JBL shop itself or did you get a custom one.. No idea about the price of the amp, sam will have to clarify this.

Hey I am also trying to upgrade my XING set up...

i have:

1.Blaupunt Sevilla HU
2.Infinity Kappa ( 6x9 ) rears---dont remebr the exact model...paid abt 9K
3. JBL 426..soenthiugn 4 inch fronts

I have the rears inside a subwoofer type closed box....
Even though the mids and highs are superb..the lows suck..+ dont get enuf power at a higher volume .....

Someone recommended installing the rears on a a rear MDF board ... What exactly would a rear MDF board be???..what that be soemwht like a wooden tray behind the rear seat???

Could I also get my front audio arrangement modified?

P.S Whre could I get the work done in Delhi... Can you recommend a good place

1) hellO! no low? get a SUB and a good mono amp if you can. I thought you had problem with frnt and thought you had a sub run by 504! Please see my setup as I a damn happy guy with a similar setup but with 2 amps.

2) Check my thread by clicking my signature. MDF is kindoff wood. 800Rs should be enough for it. It hard hence wont be viby liek teh panel your car has when you haev heavy speakers fitted to it.

The only issue I have with MDF rear decks is that most hatch hydraulics cant lift it like they can the fiber boards.
