Default Blaupunkt audio aux in problem?

I have a Blaupunkt Bologna C50 car audio. It has an aux in on the rear pannel.
I have connected a portable Sony Cd player to this aux in.I power the Cd player using a 12V to 4.5V Dc-DC converter which fits in the cigrate lighter slot.

Now my problem is that when i turn on the Cd and start playing it i can hear the noise of the CD motor spining from my car audio speakers, this noise increases as the motor spins faster. This problem does not occur if i use 2 AA battries to power the Cd instead of the DC source.i have tried different portable audio Cd players and this happens for all of them.

Please help me.

This is because of the differance in the ground of the dc-dc converter and the aux in HU. It means that the dc-dc converter and Hu aux in have voltage devloped between ground points. U must change the dc-dc converter or it may damage ur cd player or HU aux point.

Also is this dc-dc converter of any make ? and if yes which make.

It is sony's original car power adapter.so from what you are telling me if i use the ground of the aux HU instead of the DC_DC converter's this problem will not happen.

should i take the ground from the HU of the car and give it to the DC-DC converter or should i give the +ve 4.5 V from the DC-DC converter and ground from the AUX HU to the CD player.

please help.i need to sort this ASAP.

u can do the later one and also connect the ground to the dc-dc -ive also, but first check for the voltage across the dc-dc converter output first before connecting any thing....

Try this.

You are using a Stereo EP (earphone pin) to 2 RCA audio out wire.
This wire then goes into the aux in on your HU right? Take a small wire and earth the negative of the RCA pin. I mean, take a wire and wrap it around the negative of the RCA. Then touch this wire to the chassis of the HU.

Let us know the result.

Sorry LBM, I didn't read what you wrote earlier. This should solve the problem.

this is not a RCA to stereo wire.on the rear aux in connector in blaupunkt there are 3 pins.Audio In left .audio in right and AF ground.

now what i did yesterday was took a piece of wire and connected the AF ground to the ground of the HU,but it dosent help.i even tried to connecting the HU ground to the ground of the DC-DC converter.

but it dosent help.what can be the cuase of theis issue.if i use a portable TV or mp3 player powered by same DC-DC and give the audio to the aux in there is no problem but all portable CD players are having this issue.i tried atleast 5 different makes.

hey wait try this also.
Keep the volume on your portable cd player at a little more than the min volume. and then use the system volume control knob in the system.
I think the input sensitivity is high
