| the end hass said it right , have a absolute no to sony speakers. though you can go for its amp and HU as they fit best into your budget and work fine. i have seen enough people with sony HU and amps, havent seen amps conked up , but some sony HU have a lens problem. i got the gt350 and it has not given me problems till now. go for it dude .

Infractions: 0/1 (4) | Sony HUs can qualify for being crap too. They join the same league of Sony Speakers!

| hey Nishant..I'm sure the experts will rank your choices..but what I've learnt from this forum is that you need to trust your ears and preferences...some HU's give better clarity some are good with bass ..but even this would be subjective as the speakers make or break a system..my two cents to your query..you can't go wrong with alpine.

Sir! I'm speaking about the lens problem. Not about the SQ alone (That's also faulty for many).Last year alone I've seen about 7 HUs from Sony (mostly fitted in friends' and relatives' cars) dying with some problem. Not reading discs, skipping, faulty reading, tracks being mixed up, noisy motor etc... And some of these HUs were imported from Dubai etc.. So, it's not a problem here alone. Speak about being global..... crap!!

| WELL i dont know of the HU's being faulty as i have seen one in my car working fine and so as in some of my friends car ( one is like 3 years old ) . though i think the pioneers in my accent also sounds great. nishant i think with your budget i think you should get the JBL comps, as they sound great and pionner 6x9. the HU i doubt if you could get a alpine or blaupunkt squeezed into you budget. but am sure that you could squeek a grey market PIONEER and then sony is always there.

| Senior - BHPian | Recently i bought a sony DVD MEX-R1 for Rs.12000 and i tell u its great. it is not for guys who want matrix displays. this is one for good audio and terrific features. u can store all ur collection in 3 or 4 MP3 DVDs and carry all the music u need without having to clumsily spread ur car with cds, jewel boxes etc. and the person sitting behind can watch a movie, while the one sitting in front can listen to radio or music from a disc changer (Called as Z x Z). it has a 7 band eq, digital sound organiser, HPF LPF etc. u can fit JBL/Sony speakers for optimum sound quality. If u can stretch ur budget a bit, install Sony 4 ch amp. it will boost the sound quality beautifully.
