hi guyes,
done a survay 2day
i heard blaupunkt, it was nice and far better than sony xplod(hu as well as speakers).
i got a quotation 2day for blaupunkt and pioneer

1.blaupunkt.
hu-Monterry MP35 - Rs.9750
spkr-front:GTx173 - Rs.2950(or Gtx 172)
rear:GTx 693 - Rs.3250
installation - Rs.1000
total - Rs.17000.

2.Pioneer
hu-P5850 - Rs.8000
spkr-front:Yet not decided.
the shop owner was suggesting for philips!!?
should i really go for component (jbl 607 - Rs.6500!!or will normal spkr 637 - Rs.3950 will do with tuter added later).
rear:Pioneer TS-A6991 460 watts oval - Rs.3200

plz suggest what 2 do i am really confused this time
plz tell me which config will be better and what more should i modifi in these config and
if i do not buy jbl spkr then what is the 2nd and 3rd best option for spkr and similarly in hu.

Go for pioneer hu

speaker which u like blau or jbl which u like....... and go for componet kit in the front and a oval in the rear......do not go for speaker and later tweeter setup it will no sound good.....

if you have an option check out the Blau HU with the JBL CS series of speakers. I have atleast 2 friends who prefered JBL CS to Blau GTx so it is woruth a consideration. Note while I have heard my friends systems I do not add my opinions as I find almost all commercial systems bright to varying degrees.

Whenever i sit in my friends cars which invariably have pioneer and sony based HU/ Speaker systems, thats the feeling i get after getting used to the alpine( hu)/ infinity(spkrs) combntn in our Car. Once in a while i feel as though am missing some of the noise filled crispy highs and the boomy bass

muni, alpine-infinity seem to be a well mated combo. you'll see this combo a lot of other forums as well.

yep ! u r right, i dont like saying it, but u r right. i fitted a sony gt450s 2 months back & it conked within 30 days. of course, the rest of the unit was working (Radio/CD Changer), but the lens was gone, man !!!!! luckily, even tho i bought it from a grey dealer, he was sorry for me & took it back & believe it or not, i still went for another sony DVD player this time. A sony is a sony. these are minor blips. in developed countries, these sets would have been recalled long back, but this is India. we had to make good with the initial Indicas & Ford Ikons(poor unlucky guys ended up being the white mice)

Hey guyes how abt this config.
hu-Pioneer 6850 - Rs.8900(grey).
spkr- Front:Blaupunkt GTx 172 = Rs.2950(it has got tweeter seperately)
Rear: Blaupunkt GTx 693 = Rs.3250
or(which is better?)
Pioneer TS-A6991 460 watts oval = Rs.3200(grey)
MDF Trey = Rs.500
Fitting/Installing = Rs.300
Total =Rs.15900.

so guys what do u say.
and pls let me know more abt speakers
