Default Alpine CDA-9856 or Pioneer DEH 6850P Which is best, Help Me plz ...

Hi Guys,
Please help me which one to choose Alpine CDA-9856 or Pioneer DEH 6850P HU. Even this can be a generic discussion topic "which is the best Alpine HU or Pioneer HU". If any one have the above Head Units, please share the price details. Please suggest what would be the best speaker combination for the above.

Does Alpine have authorised distributor or dealers in India?

Thanks,
Rajesh

I thought I would just soften the blow the resident ICE freaks and guru's will deliver to you shortly hehehe

First off, there is no BEST.. often there is BETTER but this again is a question of personal taste and as Sir Navin would say, "let your ears do the deciding"

Secondly, you need to specify a the car in question and budget...for the speakers and maybe if your planning to add something else. (so that we can effectly convince you into spending more ;-) ) kidding!!!

Yes, Alpine does have authorised distributors in India.

The above link is a comparison chart for the pio6850 and Alpine-9856.

Hope this helps!

Can't you listen to both. My installer would allow me that. 20-30 min with each HU and you'd know.

This is for my Suzuki Swift... i can spent like 10k for the speakers. Next week flying to US for a short official trip. How abt getting stuffs from there.. May be there wont be much price difference but we can get geniune stuffs from shops like BestBuy or Crutchfield.com. I just checked the price for Alpine CDA-9856 it comes around 200$/Rs 9000.

i changed from alpine 9843 to pio 6850, from what my ears perceive ......ALpines sounds sweet,rich.....more defned ,whereas pioneer are with Great Gui ,Bass line is good.....but sweetnes part is missing.......this is all pertaining to my taste buds......u better listen out both

and ya abt price diff. its quite considerable ......why don't u get urself a Pioneer p80RS(its diff. from the low end pioneers) ....last i checked it was out for 15k on ebay

Personally I would like the Alpine as well... the black/white display is something I appreciate compared to the bling tring tring of pio HU's these days. Of course my friend shares the opposite view and opted out of Alpine because it didnt have the colours and dolphins.heheh

10k for the speakers is a nice budget... you will have some good configurations shortly ! If you had time to listen and explore your options that would be the best.. like Navinji suggested.

Travelling to the US, you could source out a great deal I reckon

10 for speakers..would mean 6.5K for components in the front and 3.5K for coax in the rear.
