Default Car Audio Set up for Getz

Hey guys,
My cousin is buying a Passion Red Getz soon and is intrested in getting an Audio Set up for the car.
Budget is 15K.
What do you guys suggest?
A plain and simple system with a good HU, good speakers.
He doesn't want any amps or Sub as there isn't enough space.
Please advise Audio Gurus.
Thanks.

Think Getz takes 6 inches all around. Stay with Co-ax and a decent HU for 15k limit.

I read somewhere that the Getz can take upto 6.5 inches.
Does JBL make co-ax and would they come in the budget?
How are the GTO637 and how much would they cost?
Cheers

6.5 maybe. Lazy to search around
JBL makes co-ax.
for the rest of your queries

edit:

@6k; decent Pio HU @ grey prices. or Blau HU @ B&W

Thanks Jk and Sam,
This is what i was thinking of suggesting to him.
2 pairs of the GTO637 for around 8K, a good HU for aroung 5.5K and then the remaining on wiring and installing.
How is the JBL in terms of bass and clarity?
Any good HU that you guys suggest?
Cheers

you may want to keep in mind that GTO 637 are rated at 2ohms impedence...
make sure that HU's internal amp is stable at 2 ohms.... (most cases HU's internal amps are 4ohm stable...)
by fitting 2ohm speakers to HU, might damage the HU on long run....

regards,
ant.

I don't want to start any techie debate, but i'll say this.

Whenever any company makes ONLY speakers and no HU, they will make sure it's compatible to all commercially available head units. Think about it, what other choice do they have?
If anyone would like a white paper on this and would like to study this further, PM me your email addy

cheers

Yes I'm telling you that using your HU, one pair 637 in the front and one pair in the rear is no problems at all.

I explained about the GTO and CS series here (Car Audio Advice from the Audio Gurus: Use "Search thread" before posting a new Q!)

Thanks alot Sam.
Think we'll go with this set up.
Is there any good HU that you guys would recommend?
And would there be any difference in quality if we put the same speakers in the rear and front?
Cheers

Hey Gunbir,
went through the thread. Quite alot of useful information. Everyone mostly gets it cut through the Din plate but i'll remember to tell him to open the console and unscrew the plate and put it.
Also Autophile says that for Getz one should get a component set in the front and Co-ax in the back.
Would it be a better bet then the Co-ax all around?
We wouldn't be putting an amp or a Sub.
Cheers
