Default Upgrading my Octy ICE

Gurus and everyone,
Its time to upgrade my current ICE setup
Current setup :
HU:Pioneer PY1
Front: JBL co-axials (don't remember model)
Rear : Pioneer 6x9s TS(?) 6991S on custom made board
Ampilfier: Pioneer 4ch (don't remember model, it says 480 w max ha ha)
Sub: JBL active bass tube.

I need a new HU as this one is giving me a lot of pain (stuck cds/panel)
Also, thinking about components in the front doors.
As i drive alone, rear speakers are not that important are they? Anyway, my budget right now is 25k max. So, I guess I'll have to be happy with the current amp and the rear fills. I'm quite happy with the bass tube and intend to retain it.
I listen to Classic/Alt/Hard Rock, Metal, Trance, Progressive House, Psy and Drum n bass.
Can't afford sq, so am happy with a bit of boom
Thank you all in advance, hope to loose my sleep and sanity soon

I would suggest you to upgrade you Head Unit, front speakers (6.5" in stock location) and cables (RCA, power and speaker) all of this should fall within 25K easily.

And yes if you want to audition some 6.5" compo's in the front doors, you can in Kolkata.

Beer and meat would be good after the audition.

AB.

@ Autophile - But upgrade to which brands and models? And will the front stock location accomodate components? Am at a loss. On top of that, I need a HU with Ipod connectivity.
@ babhishek - Dude, you are on!

The 6.5" components will fir in stock location. You can mount the midbass straight on the factory spacer ring and hot glue the tweeter in stock location of RVM pod.

There are lot of brands. Listen and decide.

Use any newer Pioneer / Alpine with optional High Speed Cable for Ipod connectivity.

for HU i think the best options are pioneer and alpine(careful of replicas for this one).
if you are looking for component for front get in touch with moralfiber who has a set of infinity component in the front doors of his palio,i have listen to them and let me tel you they are just amazing, even what he played for me was rock music.

ya the mrp is 15.5k so 15k is a good price....but a little lower can be better......

I think the 7950 is a good unit.
A few points to consider.
its USB enabled and ready.
Its Ipod enabled but not ready.
So you need to buy the connector (wire to have Ipod Control) for this HU, which will bump the cost a little more.

Suggestion 1 : go for a grey price and demo the unit, and buy the connector, should be cheaper.

Suggestion 2: if you want to use a pen drive 1gb/2b/4gb instead of the ipod there are other similar units.

i was just mentioning this because your budget of 25k will clearly overshoot if you go for the headset with B&W plus accessories plus wiring plus components.

If the budget is flexible... then things are fine.

the HU will be for 15k....the connecter is for 1k...total 16k...money left is 9k for the speakers......that is a fine amount of money for a compo kit....and I would recommend listen to has many brand you can......

Finally!
Got the upgrade done at last.
Pioneer 7950UB
JBL GTO607 Components in front stock location. (the tweeter in the stock location in the a-pillar)
Rest of the setup remains
Pioneer 6x9 rear fills
Pioneer 4ch amp
JBL Active Bass Tube.
The setup sounds nice, not loud but nice. Thanks to all your inputs.
