| Got my Optra Magnum yesterday and would like to upgrade my speakers immd. I plan to upgrade the head unit little later. I already have Pioneer 4 channel amp (6200) and Pioneer 1000 watt dual core woofer. I was planning to go for JBL Component crossover speakers. Also i heard these speakers will fit into existing speaker bay provided. But would like some suggestions. Thanks... |

| Two sets of jbl components could run of your pio amp and i guess you will need another 2 channel amp to run your sub. Else you could get components for the front and 6x9s at the rear and use your amp to run the components and sub and the HU can run the 6x9s. You could use 6 inch coaxials in the stock location too instead of the 6x9s ... If you are still confused wait for the gurus ... If you could provide your budget and what kind of music you listen to the gurus will have a better idea of what you need

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | If on a tightish budget, I recommend you change your front speakers only. It is a good idea to go for 6" component speakers for the front. Connect your front components to the front channel of the amplifiier and your subwoofer to the rear channel of the amplifier. I understand you have a dual coil subwoofer, perhaps you can give us the model number, so we can help you further with the connections.

| The best is to get components for the front and 6x9 for rear since you are a bass lover and this might exceed your budget by about 1-2k depending on which brand you choose JBL cs607 components should be about 6-7k JBL 907 6x9 abot 3.5-4k

| If you go for 4 components you have to double your budget because you will not only be spending more on the rear components but you will need another 2 channel amp to run your sub

12k should be fine. Do you think 6200 amp good enought to take the load? I got it from US last week for dirt cheap. | |

| It should be able to take the components easily but if you could provide the model number of your sub that would give a better idea ...
