Default System for fiesta

Hey. im getting my fiesta zxi today and i need some help with the audio setup. i've decided on the pioneer 3950 as the hu but am confused about the rear speakers. I had initially planned on getting a jbl speaker but after hearing to a few in shops i'm having second thoughts.. but it sounded great in my friends ohc... am confused... went to a shop and he suggested alpine.. but somewhere in this site i read that alpine units are not so good now... help!! my budget is only about 8k.. and what front speakers should i keep???

do you plan to add a Amplifier at a later stage or just going to run it through the HU only.

hi,

in 8k i would suggest you go for a basic HU from pio/jvc/sony(not recommended by most) 4k

then you can install a pair of co-ax spealers from blaupunkt/jbl/infinty/hertz 4k. i would suggest you install front speakers instead of rears.

if im not wrong zxi is the top model and if this is the case it will have a 6cd HU(double din). i would suggest you keep the hu and install comps in front and co-ax in the rear.

correct me if im wrong about the model.

For under 10K the Alpine 9843 is probably the best sounding HU I know. The Blau London is next. At a higher price the Kenwoods 55xx + and Clarions 55x + come into their own but in my limited experience I dont think they match the Alpine's ergonomics.

If features is your bag, Pio or Sony might be better options.

damn i alway forget that, dont know how cause even i have a fiesta. lol. . sorry for that.

so it should be....

for 8 k i would suggest a basic hu from pioneer/jvc/kenwood. 4k

5x7 co-ax speakers dont know if they are available.

6.5" co-ax speakers jbl/hertz/blaupunkt around 4k a good installer would be able to install them like navinji said in another thread related to fiesta ice.
.5 - 1k install.

i woud suggest you keep the stock hu and install comps from jbl gto 607/hertz deici dsk165/ 6k and leave the rear as it is and if you can stretch your budget a little you could also buy a sony amp or a good 2ch used amp for the front comps

rest, hear what the gurus have to say

cheers

The JBL GTO8627 are 5X7 coaxials. I believe Blaupunkt too has a similar sized pair.

You can fit a 6" coax into a 5x7 slot with a baffle. I am only not sure if that will retain the stock look.

Yes you can. 6x9 will provide better bass than 5x7 (al other things remainng equal).
