i think its not necessary to have components for clarity.. It largely depends on your speaker mounting positions and the acoustics of your car.

For example: In the old Esteem (where the speaker mounts were given on the dashboard) there was a provision for 4" speakers.
In this case a 4" two way system would sound better than a 5.25" / 6.5" component system with the woofer in the door and the tweeter upfront in the same price bracket. An ideal situation would be a 4" component system. But then it depends on your taste.

I've said this considering the fact that Pranav is not too keen on Bass..

This is just my opinion.. you need to listen to both and see what suits you the best.. I think the Gurus will be able to shed some more light on this..
