Total confusion.

In option 3 after the midbass delay try adding delay to the tweeters which will make things better.

Got a chance to savour this awesome setup yesterday. Must say it was worth the wait. Sounds very sweet, very smooth.
How about some pics in the Sound Off & Show Off section doc?

I am thinking of getting a separate amp for my sub. The 2 Ohm voice coils are connected in series to show 4 Ohm. What would the pros & cons of the following options be?
Class AB Mono amp
Class D Mono amp
Bridged 2 channel class AB amp
Bridged 2 channel class FD amp

I am planning to buy a separate amp for my sub & am thinking of running a separate 4 AWG power cable from the battery to the new amp, instead of going the distribution box route?
Imported, branded power kits seem to be pretty expensive so I thought of looking for suitable cable on the Finolex website. However, the AWG rating of the products is not mentioned.
Now the only thing that I know about 4 AWG wire (I am not even sure if this information is correct) is that its area should be 21.2 sq mm. On the Finolex website, under pvc insulated battery cables, there is a cable with the following specifications
Conductor Nominal Area in sq mm 25
Conductor number & diameter of wire 196/ .4 mm
Radial thickness of insulation 1.2 mm
Overall diameter 9.7 mm
Current carrying capacity 71 amps
Is this what I should be buying?
Any helpful link will also be sincerely appreciated.

Once I buy the cable, I will need to attach connectors, fuse-holder & fuse. Are there any particular brands that I should look for? Also how are they to be fixed to the cable?

Do not know of fuse holder but you can get thimbles from a good electrical shop from where you will be buying the wire. Here is a photo of the same which has hole and pin type thimble.

You will need hole one for the ground to the chassis like seat mounting bolt. And one for the battery terminal. For the pin type it will go at the amp end.

Take a print out and show it to the shop keeper.

Yes I got it with the Steg amp

I did a little comparison between Finolex 25 sq mm & Lightning Audio 4 AWG. Finolex has 196 strands, Lightning Audio 1862 strands. I believe flexibility is directly proportional to number of strands. Does this mean that it will be difficult to route the Finolex from the engine bay to the boot of my Santro?
I could not find out the number of strands in Connection Audison 4 AWG. I may have to buy Connection Audison if I can't find the appropriate fuse holder & fuse to go with the Finolex. At Rs 170 per metre, the Finolex is pretty attractively priced, though.

The finolex is quite flexible for installation no doubt in that, just installed 70 mmsq in my car few days back. No issue what to ever.

Hi LBM, do you use a cutting plier to crimp the ends or you have the crimping tool?

Thats some very good information. Also, wont it be better if the multistrand wires end are soldered just a bit at the end, to ensure that the strands do not snap while crimping?

No cutting plier, I use a specifically designed crimping tools for the job.

Ya, soldering the wire is a good thing , but since the thimble are soft , the breakage of copper is quite less.
