Get a 3" pipe that is 6" long. Ghusa do. Ho gaya box. Now say thank you to LBM.

Edit: Wasava has been LBMed. That sounds about right.

Hear, hear! I second that whole-heartedly.

"LBM" can anyhow be misinterpreted as an acronym for Library Manager.

I suspect he has more than 100 sq.m. and 1TB storage.

hi sam,

a monoblock will be the optimal choice as he has an svc(single voice coil) sub woofer. it woud be better to get a 2ch or a 4ch amp and bridge the 2 channels to drive the sub and the other to drive the speakers.

a good mono would cost around 10-12k for pio 510, jbl cs 300.1, jbl gto 301.1. for 10-12k, i would suggest the jbl gto 75.4. i think it is the best amp in this price range.

jbl cs and the gto mono will churn out 200w rms x 4 ohms and around 300w rms x 2 ohms. the jbl gto 75.4 will give around 290w rms with 2 channels bridged. he still has 2 channels to drive the speakers.

cheers

Rightly said Clip !! LBM one last question, Considering the dimensions of my car (getz) should I go in for a sealed enclosure or a bass reflex one ?? I plan to mount my blaupunkt oval speakers on a MDF tray and construct the box out of solid wood as suggested by Sam elsewhere on this forum.

When I got my first "IBM-compatible" PC, it had a 40MB HDD. I used it for 2 years and still couldn't fill it.

We had got used to being miserly with disk space, since we were brought up on "OS + compiler + source + tools" on the same Floppy disk: a royal 384KB!!!

Clip, we'll go really OT here.

If you take the GB and TB measures as per your manufacturer (a.k.a Standard bytes), it is 1000MB=1GB and 1000GB=1TB (Powers of 10)

However, if you take the OS point of view (Binary bytes), it is 1024MB=1GB and 1024 GB=1TB (Powers of 2).

I see that you've mixed up both of them there, since you are referring to Standard bytes first and switching to Binary bytes later

Der Alte, I worked on PDP 8 and System 36. Dont get me started (hint: I know what one bit of memory looked like it was that big you could see it with a naked eye).

Of course it's a better choice clip. But if he has an amplifier, then why should I tell him to chuck it? Age has taught me to respect people's wallets. lol.

Aaah, nostalgia!!! The 'set address, set data, throw switches for input, output comes on the neon lights' machines! Or did you use a TTY? If you had a VT52 you would have been working for DEC, 3270 if IBM.

My college project was a 4004 based terminal using a TV as the monitor. That was before KELTRON came up with their CRT terminals - the first in India. We even jerry rigged our own keyboard, with desi switches bought from Lajpatrai Market. I still have the boards in a box in my basement. PCBs made at home with nail polish for etch masking.

And you are referring to ferrite core memory arrays?

Yeah, yeah, start, by all means!!!

it is a getz then go for a sealed one as it will be easy to built and there will less error in sizes...sizes mentioned by Sam Bhai are good enough.

15 x 15 x 14 it will give you 1.25 cuft approx net with woofer volume removed.
