Default Suggestions for Accord system upto Rs2 lacs

Hi Guys,

Need 3 system options for 2005 Honda Accord as per the details below.

1> System upto Rs2 lacs which must include Indash DVD(single din DVD + Pioneer display processor needed), front & rear speakers, single subwoofer in box/tray, Amplifiers(either one 2 ch or one 4 ch & one 2 ch or mono), IR receiver to retain steering controls, cables/wires 7 installation charges.

2> Top End Cd/MP3/WMA HU with all of the above.

3> HU in approx 20-25k range with all of the above. Can go lower on model specs.

Need approx 3-4 quotes across various brands and product ranges. Brands preferred for all items are

for HU - Alpine /Pioneer/Clarion
Speakers - Hertz/Illusion Audio/Focal/Morel
Subwoofers - Either of the above or others recommended
Amps - Audison/Kicker/MTX or others?

Thanks in advance,

Viper

Viper, the post looks extremely confusing. Besides, the 'preferred brands' section also seems to be weird. Like Illusion amplifiers or subs.

2 lacs is a very good budget, but the post doesn't make me understand even a thing about the requirement. Can you make this clearer?

I have hung around the ICE forums enough to know that building a system with a given budget like this is of no use. Because at the end of the day, the end user might have different tastes. I love Hertz, but my friend loves Sony better than hertz. It shouldn't be a case of you choosing the system and the owner not being satisfied with it at the end. Unlike performance gains, ICE is something very subjective. I guess you should ask the owner to listen before taking a pic. That is the only way to do it. No offense. Just my opinion on the topic.

you want a DVD HU and a CD/MP3 HU? 2 HUs?

Out of 2L I'd take 10-15K and damp the car.
for a start list out components with the follwoing budgets.
HU: 25K
Front and rear speakers: 35K (25K for front, 10K for rear)
Subs: 30K
Amps: 50K (25K each for a 4ch. and a mono amp)
Wires: 10K
Screens:

another idea i got is to get two 5/6 ch. amps like the Audison Srx5 (i think they are 25K each) and go active for front and rear speakers.

I think choice of equipement would depend on the listening tastes of the car owner. But I suspect here video would be the primary source ? and more of bling? SQ would be second priority?

Hi Navin,

Spray on damping similar to my Vtec already done. Need only one add on HU. There will be the original HU + aftermarket either DVD or CD/MP3.

@Mclaren & Sk456 - The brand selection is left to me as both out tastes in music are pretty similar.

His basic requirements are good SQ and a flashy looking HU. No video requirements are there was thinking of the Pioneer only because of the Vehicle Display Processor.

Alpine DVD HU ( i forget the Model W-soemthing) --W200 i think

Audison /Alpine/Steg Amps ( I guess these are the high end ones available here).. either a 4 ch+ monobloc or single 5-6 channel
..would not recommened going for non warranty stuff where amps are involved as it involves a lot of electronics...

Speakers - - Hertz High Energy/Mille .. Illusion ( havnt heard them though )...
Morel,Dynaudio,Rainbow ( although not sure if these 3 are available here - are msotly obscenely priced for grey imports )

Subs - IDQ ( i wudnt go for any other )

why are you retaining the original HU? The new HU (which ever one you choose) will outperform the OEM HU in every department.

THe Spray on dampig is not as effective as the damping sheets. I do not know how many layersof spray on damping you have used but I would still suggest damping sheets on the trunk and the doors. Your budget permits it.

Are there dash kits that will allow Viper to retain the stock look of the Accord dash?

If there are no video requirements...one idea...
Alpine 9887 (it has Time Alignment)
Amps Audisson SRx5 x 2
Subs: ID 10" x 2 one on each side of the trunk
Front and rear speakers: Illusion Carbon Nd 6.1

This will retain much of the boot space so the car is not totally impratical.

hi viper,

i think i have seen a dash kit for the accord. you can also install an after market HU below the controls for the ac/hu. gunbir/jb have installed a HU in that area. ill see if i can find the thread and also the dash kit.

with the budget you have, you can do a 3 way front stage with good drivers. you can even go for the ID horns for the front stage. i believe they are one of the best comp systems available. gunman would be the right person for that.

for subs, i would again suggest IDqs or max. for the amps, you can get TRU tech, steg, audison etc.

Pio p880 is a good HU and is not that expensive as well.

amplifiers - for front stage TRU Tech T4.65 37.5k. for sub, TRU Tech T2.100 again 37.5k
front stage 50k for the id horns(not confirmed)
HU - 17-20k
rear fills - 10k
damping and install 20k(including wiring)
sub - ID max 25k or illusion or hertz.
total around 200k

this would be my ICE in 200k. its only an opinion so do ask and look around. im sure you would get better suggestions.

cheers
