The bass is good, but I notice it only when I turn off the sub. When only the rear coax and the front components are there, you can actually feel the bass from the comps.

I know there are much much better components available in India, but for the price they are perect. Their direct competition from hertz is the DSK 165 and from audison the electra 6.1
IMHO, the velocity were better value for money ( hertz was costing me 6.5k, these cost me 7.5k + wiring and installation ) They are 120w rms speakers, and the XO is much better ( again, just my opinion ) than the DSK 165.

okie, blaupunkt is easier to get here for me than illusion or hertz so had planned to upgrade my front comps in the future. possibly vc132 since that should fit quite easily in stock location

thanks for the review

Hi akg, Congratulations.

What car are you using these on? I had heard that these required a relatively large mounting depth. Are these behind stoick grills?

Further could you tell me where you bought these from - I have been quoted Rs.10.9K with B&W.

Thanks

I have installed them in an Indica. Will upload the pics in a day or two.

I bought them without b/w as the installer is known to me so I am sure that the speakers are genuine. He quoted 11k with b/w. I got them from indus electronics, lajpat nagar.

And you are absolutely right, the mounting depth required is huge compared to some of the other available options.

You are absolutely right lbm sir. I know audison doesn't make speakers and I meant illusion.

I guess this is what happens when you post at 3 in the morning instead of just going to sleep
