Try getting a grey market 75.4. It'll also have enough juice to drive the sub & you'll have some money left over to get some decent wiring & a good box.

For the box i have kept aside around 1-1.5k which is not included in 25k.

I know 75.4 are very capable amps and i have heard the very same setup today itself and i found it to my liking. But the problem is the setup i heard it was installed in a swift and i have to install this in the boot of magnum. So that was the reason i was trying to get a decent mono in my budget which could extract enough juice out of the sub so that i could get a similar effect in my car as well.

And yes no cuttings allowed to the rear parcel tray for the grille.

A single sub in a seadan car would be a little less. Dont compare it with a Hatch batch.

If possible audition few cars with single sub in the boot and then decide.

Mono with a single 4ohm SVC sub is not the best idea. Get a powerful 2-channel instead.

Also, you can always get the 75.4 or equivalent amp and try out the sub with that first and upgrade to second amp later if you find the power inadequate.

So you mean it is better to get DVC sub running with a Mono rather than a SVC sub running with a mono.

Performance wise and price wise are there any subs (less than 4ohm as ajay bhai mentioned) which I should look at in comparison to the entry level GZ sub IF I am adamant enough to get a mono.

The problem is that I won't be able to demo such a setup either so I don't have a U turn either after I decide to buy my stuff. I would surely go in for the 75.4 if I do not get any mono in my budget so its basically that I was exploring my options at the price.

Try the kenwood 8401 also, looks small and tiny but performs well. I have heard Hertz 15",Rainbow hammer,IDq 15",Bull audio esw12 run on this amp! and it surly would not let you down.

For the compo's.Rainbow SLX series,or the new JBL 608C,Bull audio, Give them a shot too,you have nothing to loose

Gaurav,I went to the shop i was telling you yesterday but could not meet up with the guy. Tomorrow would be a little difficult cause of the Maya g's rally. Will surely tell you about the 75.4 availability on Sunday.

So the Electra's are more or less finalised . Good to know that you liked my setup, thank Ajay bhai for it.

You can get a Sony mono and a Jbl 2 channel around your budget , but that would not cut it. two amps will also increase your budget for wiring. I your budget is 13k for the amp, then why not the Jbl gto100.4.

P.S:Mods kindly delete my earlier post.

I have heard the Kenwood I did not like the amp. It is just 60 x 4 and 180 x 2 rms.

It is a very rough amp, sound harsh to for components and is okayish for driving subs.

Note from mod post edited, no personal attacks please

Totally depends upon a person taste i would say. Lot of gurus here suggest the same amp (SAM, GUNBIR etc.) and lot of members use it here and found it VFM and good sounding.
